ST BARNABAS CHURCH
St Barnabas Church is situated near the centre of the village within the parish of Minchinhampton, which is currently guided by the Rector, Canon Michael Irving. The attractive stone church was started in 1951 and completed and dedicated in October 1952. It was built around a previous "tin" church (see right hand picture above) which had served the village, originally as an infant school, since 1880.
The church contains three noteworthy stained glass windows designed and made by the celebrated local artist, Edward Payne, who lived in the village and was a stalwart of the congregation for many years.
Holy Communion with hymns is celebrated every Sunday at 9.00 am and a said Communion takes place every Wednesday at 8.00 am.
Details of occasional additional services are published on the church notice board and here.
