BOX VILLAGE, GLOUCESTERSHIRE

BOX WOMEN'S INSTITUTE

23 members started the new year with a new President and a new programme of diverse speakers and activities.

The skittles team is on a winning streak - now in the third round of the County competition.

Regular monthly walks followed by the popular pub lunch help to keep members a little fitter!  In June we will once again be hosting the County Walk for 60 fellow members.

A recent talk on "The New Developments for the future of the Stroudwater Canal" was a very good.

Two future talks, "Everest Base Camp and India for the Older Traveller" and "The Bayuex Tapestry" will be of great interest.

In June we have our outing to West Woodhay Garden Show near Newbury.

Members readily help with the ongoing Community Projects - the Austerity Lunches and Litter picking.

We are a very friendly Institute and would like to share that friendship with new members and visitors are most welcome. Meetings are held on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 10:00am in the village hall.
