BOX GARDENING CLUB
Our AGM was held on 19th January. Members were encouraged to know that our finances are healthy and that the annual subscription would remain the same - £10 single and £15 dual membership. This represents very good value – we have six speakers a year, a Plant Sale, Village Produce Show, an evening visit and a full day out in the summer, not forgetting the renowned Christmas party!
This year we are having a Gardeners’ Swap Table at the start of each meeting. Members may bring along any items of gardening interest for which they no longer have a use, and exchange them for someone else’s treasure! All un-swapped items must be taken home afterwards. Anything too large or cumbersome to be carried to the Hall could be represented by a photo with relevant details. Let’s see what turns up!
2010 programme of events
Our programme for 2010 is now booked – see below. Members will receive their official information leaflet in time for our next meeting on 16th February. All evening meetings are on the third Tuesday of the month, starting at 7.30 pm with coffee, with the speaker at 8 pm.

Oct 19th Mr J Tolkien: In Your Greenhouse – plant propagation, production,
siting, economic use of space...He is also an expert on geraniums, pelargoniums and fuchsias so these may get a mention.
Nov 16th Tony Russell : The Amazon -Tony recently returned from an expedition there.
